Traditional Patterns and Artisan Techniques Woven Together, Beautiful and Practical Goshuincho

The "Pattern of Happiness" series is an original design that brings to life the meaning of "wishing for happiness" held by traditional Japanese patterns, created together with a textile designer Fuwa Market.
One of the patterns, the silver ginkgo, carries the meaning of "flaming" and "calling good fortune."
We designed the pattern to subtly dye a good motif of auspicious beginnings into a modern lifestyle.
✔ Meticulous artisan techniques: Each piece carefully crafted at a specialized workshop in Kyoto
✔ Modern traditional patterns: Enjoy choosing from six types of patterns in two color variations
✔ Also perfect as a high-quality gift: "Pattern of Happiness" conveys special thoughts
Enhance the joy of visiting shrines and temples even more richly

The goshuincho size is a standard large size of 18cm height by 12cm width (B6). It is an easy-to-use size that also allows you to neatly insert your goshuin stamps.

In accordion style, the total number of pages is 48 pages (24 sheets).
Since the long sheet of paper is folded and stacked like an accordion, you can see multiple goshuin stamps at a glance when unfolded.

As a goshuincho, it is also wonderfully versatile for mini notebooks, sketchbooks, travel notes, recipe notes, collections of works, and more, making it a charming item.
Every time you hold it in your hands, your heart feels aligned, making your shrine or temple visits even richer moments.
Artisan techniques that stand out in hand-dyed paper

The hand-dyed Japanese paper used in this goshuincho is carefully handcrafted one by one by skilled artisans at a specialized workshop in Kyoto who specialize in friendly Japanese paper dyeing.

The depth of color and unique blending created by traditional techniques is truly captivating.

Looking at the ginkgo leaf pattern, you can feel the weight of the delicate colors unique to hand dyeing.
The subtle gradations and nuances achieved by handcrafting express a unique beauty like no other.

By carefully dyeing each sheet, a depth and warmth emerge that cannot be expressed by simple printing alone.

The hand-dyed Japanese paper used for printing is also handcrafted one by one by Kyoto’s box-making artisans. Each subtle difference in expression brings out a special feeling unique to you.
We invite you to experience this charm and warmth created by the artisan’s handiwork.
Wishes and prayers embedded in the ginkgo pattern

The flaming silver ginkgo, calling good fortune
When you think of autumn street trees, you think of the ginkgo tree. The fan-shaped leaves are dyed yellow like flames, and the street looks like a golden carpet. It’s a scenery that looks like a painting come to life.
This resilient ginkgo tree is full of vitality, with some trees living over 1,000 years. Its life force is believed to be sacred and is often regarded as a sacred tree at temples and shrines.
People have long wished for longevity in the strength of life, a boost in luck from the spreading leaves, and good fortune from the golden-colored leaves of the ginkgo.

The colors are a warm yellow series,

and a chic gray-green series, both offered in two color variations. They have individuality and are perfect as a colorful item for your goshuincho journey.
※ Because the large sheets are cut to make the book, there are individual differences in the placement of the ginkgo leaves. Please understand this.
