Hand-dyed patterns with intricate designs

This is a hand-dyed pattern called "cut-and-join pattern," which combines motifs symbolizing Edo's patterns and performing arts like patchwork.

Each pattern has its own meaning, and many have been used symbolically as emblems of the family crest of the artisans.

Patterns such as "Yokikokiku," "Kamanun," and "Shikajima" incorporate wishes, respect for artisans, and are combined to create enjoyable and sophisticated designs.

Dyed-blend "Rien Dye"

Rien Dye (Rienzome) is a blend technique created by the old master of the Meiji era "Tidaya Shop."

Dyed-blend (Chusen) is a traditional Japanese technique where the dye is injected into the fabric, resulting in vibrant colors without any lining. The beauty of the gradation and subtlety cannot be reproduced by mechanical dyeing.

The technique of Rien Dye excels in water absorption and quick drying, making it perfect for everyday use. The more you wash it, the softer it becomes and it adapts to your skin, allowing for long-lasting use.

The design draws from traditional Edo patterns and expands broadly to include modern designs that fit contemporary lifestyles. Combining practicality and design, it is also ideal as a gift.
