Traditional Patterns and Craftsmanship Woven Together, Beautiful and Practical Pen Cases

The "Pattern of Happiness" series is an original design that brings to life the "wish for happiness" held by traditional Japanese patterns, together with a textile designer.

One of the patterns, the pine, has come to symbolize "longevity" because it preserves its green leaves throughout the year and endures severe cold.

We designed a modern piece that dyes this good motif with contemporary lifestyle in mind.

Careful Craftsmanship: Each point is carefully crafted at a Kyoto box-making specialty workshop.
Modern Traditional Patterns: Enjoy choosing from six types of patterns × two colors.
Practical and Versatile: Active use as pen cases, eyeglass cases, or small item pouches.
Also Suitable as a High-Quality Gift: The "Pattern of Happiness" conveys a special thought.

Pen Cases That Neatly Store What You Need and Can Be Requested

Pen cases have just the right size to hold various writing instruments such as fountain pens, ballpoint pens, and steel pens.

With about five ballpoint pens, and even rulers or erasers, you can store them securely.

Not only for pen cases or pencil cases, but also as eyeglass cases, accessory cases, or pouches for mobile phones and emergency kits, their versatility is attractive.

With a solid box structure protecting the inside, it can be used for a long time with affection. It is a product that will become your everyday companion.

Beautiful Design Usable Inside and on the Lining

Carefully considering beauty when opened, the inside bottom uses pine-patterned hand-dyed Japanese paper. The balance with the pattern on the surface creates a washed impression.

The bottom uses simple, plain Japanese paper without texture.

While drawing out the beauty of the paper, it also creates a calm atmosphere when closed, allowing you to enjoy a different expression between the surface and the lining.

The smooth opening and closing with delicate handiwork make you feel comfortable each time you use it.

Craftsmanship That Stands Out with the Charm of Hand-Dyed Paper

The hand-dyed Japanese paper used in this pen case is carefully handcrafted one by one by skilled craftsmen specializing in Japanese paper dyeing in Kyoto.

The deep colors and unique blends created by traditional techniques are captivating.

Looking at the paper up close, you can feel the depth of color unique to hand-dyeing.

Subtle gradations and nuances bring out a unique beauty that only handcrafted work can achieve.

Each piece is carefully dyed to be sturdy, creating warmth and depth that simple prints cannot express.

The hand-dyed Japanese paper with brush strokes is crafted point by point by Kyoto box craftsmen. Each subtle different expression brings out a special feeling unique to you.

Please experience the charm of this blend and warmth created by the craftsmanship of the artisans.

Wishes and Prayers Woven into the Pine Pattern

The Pine is a Symbol of Prosperity

The pine is a plant loved by Japanese people for a long time as a sacred symbol.

Even in cold winters, it keeps its green leaves, symbolizing "longevity." Also, the pine, plum, and cherry blossoms, which bloom on a single branch, represent the wish for "prosperity of descendants."

Since the Edo period, the pine has been regarded as a sacred plant where gods dwell, painted on Noh stage backdrops or made into gate pines to welcome the New Year, becoming an indispensable presence in the arts.

The strong vitality and beauty of the pine are still loved by many people today.

The colors are divided into a green series representing vitality,

and a warm orange series. Both sets of two colors have a gentle harmony, and their individuality makes them ideal as desk accessories to brighten your space.

※ Because large sheets are cut to make them, there are individual differences in the placement of the paper. Please understand this in advance.
