A traditional pattern and craftsmanship intertwined, beautiful and practical flat pouch

The “Pattern of Happiness” series is an original design born from the meaning of “wishing for happiness” held by traditional Japanese patterns, together with a textile designer.

One of the patterns, pine, is a design that has come to symbolize “longevity” due to its ability to retain green leaves throughout the year and endure harsh cold.

We designed a modern style that dyes this good motif with a contemporary lifestyle.

Exquisite craftsmanship: Each piece is carefully dyed by hand at a dyeing workshop in Kyoto.
Modern traditional patterns: Enjoy choosing from three types of patterns × two colors.
High durability: Made with thick-handwoven cotton fabric (No. 11), durable and long-lasting.
Also great as a high-quality gift: The “Pattern of Happiness” conveys special thoughts.

Beautiful harmony that soothes the heart every time you use it

The flat pouch size is approximately 17cm high × 23cm wide. It is large enough to comfortably fit a B6-sized notebook.

Because there is no gusset, it is very compact without bulging. Its thin profile makes it convenient for organizing small items inside your bag.

• A cosmetic pouch to neatly store makeup brushes
• As a medicine pouch to keep important items such as your pill case, wallet, and mother-child wallet
• For carrying hygiene items like emergency medicine, masks, tissues, and napkins
• A pouch for stationery such as wallets, writing instruments, and erasers
• Gadget pouch to store wired earphones and mobile batteries inside your bag
• Travel pouch to organize essentials like passports and airline tickets

This is a delightful item that can be actively used in everyday life. As a pouch you’ll love, it adds a touch of Japanese harmony and color to your daily routine.

Craftsmanship with the charm of hand dyeing

This flat pouch features an original textile design by Fuwa Market.

It is made from a domestic cotton blend fabric called “Fujikinbai,” a traditional Japanese cotton fabric known for its high quality. Today, precious shuttle looms are used to weave each piece carefully by hand.

The high-quality cotton fabric is hand-dyed one by one by skilled craftsmen at a dyeing workshop in Kyoto.

The deep colors and unique harmony created by traditional techniques are truly captivating.

Looking closely at the fabric, you can feel the depth of colors unique to hand dyeing. The subtle gradations and nuances brought out by the craftsmanship express a one-of-a-kind beauty.

Each piece is carefully dyed one by one, creating a subtle depth and warmth that cannot be expressed with simple printing.

The delicate craftsmanship draws out the beauty of Japanese harmony. Each time you use it, you can feel the meaning of traditional patterns and the skill of the artisans.

Please experience the charm of this unique harmony and warmth brought to life by the artisans’ handiwork.

The wishes and prayers woven into the pine pattern

Pine is a symbol of prosperity

Pine is a plant that the Japanese have long loved as a sacred symbol.

Even in the cold winter, it retains its lush green leaves, symbolizing “longevity.” The pine, along with plum and cherry blossoms blooming on a single branch, embodies the wish for “prosperity of descendants.”

Since the Edo period, pine has been regarded as a sacred plant where gods dwell. It has been painted on Noh theater stage backdrops and used to welcome the New Year with Kadomatsu decorations, becoming an indispensable presence in Japanese culture and festivals.

The strong vitality and beauty of pine are still loved by many people today.

The colors include a grayish green series,

and a warm orange series. Both color combinations have individuality and are suitable as items that brighten your daily life. Since the design is Japanese modern, it also pairs well with traditional clothing such as bathrobes and kimonos.

※Because it is made with cut fabric, there are individual differences in the placement of the pattern. We appreciate your understanding.
