The bathhouse is a collaboration item produced by the popular textile artist in the Northern European design world, Ms. Lotta Jansdotter, and the brand “Link Collective,” which focuses on bathhouses and produces unique textile products.
“Svcall (wave)” is a design inspired by the nature of the “Orlando Islands,” the hometown of Ms. Lotta, located between Sweden and Finland.
Using the traditional Japanese dyeing technique “Tenassen (hand rubbing dye),” Kyoto artisans print each piece one by one.
Unlike mass production by machines, the subtle color combinations and brush expressions that overlap while matching each edition are distinctive features.
The delicate color gradation and softness that machines cannot reproduce become the unique personality of this cloth, giving it warmth.
