All dyeing is done by hand, so there are individual differences in the thickness of the dye and the way the colors are applied.
There may be some color irregularities or uneven dyeing in parts, but this is part of the charm of hand dyeing.

[Wax Application] Left Side
Using stencil paper, wax (bouzen wax) is carefully applied to the parts where the dye should be slightly resisted.
This wax prevents the dye from penetrating the fabric, making the stencil outlines clearly visible.
[Dyeing (Resist Dyeing)] Right Side
Using a tool called "Yakan," the dye is applied from above in a process called injection dyeing.
The injected dye penetrates firmly to the underside of the fabric, resulting in a beautiful finish without front or back side distinction.
The individual irregularities and slight shaking unique to hand dyeing add to the charm of the resist dyeing.

[Washing] Left
After the dyeing is finished, the cloth is carefully washed in water, a process that removes any dye or paste that has not adhered to the fabric.
This washing causes the colors to settle and creates a soft blend of hues.
[Drying] Right
The washed cloth is hung high and dried naturally in the wind and sunlight.
The gentle fluttering in the breeze is one of the beautiful scenes unique to hand dyeing.
