Traditional Patterns That Color Everyday Life

"Chidori (Thousand Birds)" is one of the animal patterns that represent Japan, named after the way these birds gather and fly.
It has been used since ancient or Heian periods for clothing and decorative items, cherished for its lovely appearance and the auspiciousness of the pattern.
This beautiful design is a modern arrangement of the classic "Nanbu Chidori Pattern," which carries such a traditional meaning.

Chidori is also called "Sen-dori" and is a pattern symbolizing good luck and protection from evil. It is an excellent motif for gifts both for overseas friends and those who value Japanese culture.
Dyed Blend "Rien-zome"

Rien-zome (Rien dyeing) is a blend dyed by the old shop "Toda-ya Shoten," established in the Meiji era.
Dyed by the traditional Japanese technique called "Chusen," where the dye is injected into the fabric, it results in vivid colors without a front or back side. The beauty of the niji-mi (gradation) and subtlety cannot be reproduced by machine dyeing.
The Rien-zome technique is excellent for its water absorption and quick-drying properties, making it perfect for everyday use. The more you wash it, the softer it becomes and it fits gently against the skin, allowing for long-term enjoyment.

The design draws inspiration from the traditional patterns of Edo, widely developed into modern, stylish designs that suit contemporary tastes. Combining practicality and design, it is also ideal as a gift.
