Traditional Patterns and Craftsmanship Unite in a Beautiful and Practical Goshuincho (Temple Stamp Book)

The "Pattern of Happiness" series is an original design that brings to life the "wish for happiness" meaning held by traditional Japanese patterns, created together with a textile designer Fuwa Market.
One of the patterns, Nanten, is a plant revered since ancient times as a "demon repellent" and "misfortune remover."
We designed a modern version that transforms this good-luck motif into a contemporary lifestyle style.
✔ Meticulous Craftsmanship: Each piece is carefully made at a specialized workshop in Kyoto
✔ Modern Traditional Patterns: Enjoy selecting from 6 types of patterns × 2 colors
✔ Also Suitable as a High-Quality Gift: Convey special thoughts with the "Pattern of Happiness"
Enrich Your Enjoyment of Visiting Shrines and Temples

The goshuincho size is a standard large size of 18cm by 12cm (B6). It is an easy-to-use size, and you can also neatly attach goshuin (temple stamps) that you receive.

In snake belly style, the page count is 48 pages (24 sheets).
Like an accordion, a long sheet of paper is folded and bound, so you can see multiple goshuin at a glance when unfolded.

Of course, the goshuincho can also be used for minibooks, scrapbooks, travel notes, recipe notebooks, collections, and more, making it versatile beyond just goshuin.
Every time you hold it in your hands, your heart feels at ease, making your shrine or temple visits even more fulfilling.
The Charm of Handmade Dyed Paper and Skilled Craftsmanship

The hand-dyed Japanese paper used in this goshuincho is carefully handcrafted one by one by skilled artisans specializing in friend-made Japanese paper dyeing workshops in Kyoto.

The deep colors and unique blends created by traditional techniques are truly captivating.

Looking closely at the Nanten pattern, you can feel the subtle layering of colors unique to hand-dyed paper.
Delicate gradations and nuances created by the artisan’s handwork bring out a one-of-a-kind beauty.

Each copy is dyed carefully, creating depth and warmth that cannot be expressed by simple prints alone.

The hand-dyed Japanese paper used for printing is handmade one sheet at a time by Kyoto’s binding box artisans. Each piece’s subtle differences express a special feeling unique to you.
Please experience the charm of this blend of colors and warmth brought to life by the artisans’ handwork.
Wishes and Prayers Woven into the Nanten Pattern

Nanten, the Demon Repelling Plant
Nanten is a plant that has been valued since ancient times as a medicinal herb to suppress evil spirits, passed down from China during the Heian period.
It is loved as a good-luck tree that is planted with many red berries from late autumn to early winter, symbolizing the wish to "turn misfortune into good fortune."
Also, placing it near the entrance is believed to prevent evil spirits from entering.
In the Edo period’s Hyakka Jiten (encyclopedia), it is said that "planting Nanten prevents fire disasters," and many households planted it near troublesome corners as a fire prevention measure to protect their home’s safety.

The colors are displayed in warm reds,

and gentle blues, offering two color variations. While the colors harmonize softly, each has its own personality, making them ideal as a colorful item to accompany your goshuincho visits.
※Because large sheets are cut to make these, there may be individual differences in the pattern placement. Please understand.
