にじゆら
Hand-knitting | 100% wool | ROND jamboree | Dyeing | Niji Yura
An Unconventional, Beautifully Resonant Piece

At first glance, this piece feels like a simple design.
However, its background holds “a feeling that does not conform to shapes” and “a beauty born from the layering of colors.”

First, three colors are dyed, then a cloth is laid on top, and three more colors are dyed over it—this process creates subtle differences in the colors, giving each piece a unique expression.
The gently soft impression of the water droplets (dots) evokes a feeling of “genuineness” each time you look at it. The refreshing atmosphere and brightness perfectly suit the summer season.

As a hand towel for everyday use, of course, it can also be used as a lunch mat, tablecloth, wall decoration, or wrapping cloth to add an artistic touch.
This color palette, which cannot be achieved through mold dyeing, and the delicate beauty of the nostalgic water droplets make it a wonderful gift for someone special.
Hand-Dyed, 100% Cotton Comfort

The hand-dyed fabric of Nijiyura uses “happiness”—a slightly muted, eye-catching color.
It is made with carefully removed impurities through a traditional Japanese washing process, resulting in a soft texture that feels good on the skin.
The more you use it, the easier it becomes to care for, gently blending into your everyday life.
Japan’s Unique Dyeing Technique: “Chusen”

Chusen is a unique Japanese dyeing technique born in Osaka during the Meiji era.
By pouring dye onto cloth and dyeing it, it is possible to dye 20 to 30 pieces of cloth at once.
The cloth is layered like a stack of paper and dyed twice from both front and back, creating a beautiful finish without distinction between front and back—this is a major characteristic.
The process involves many steps, all carried out by skilled artisans. For this reason, no two pieces are exactly the same.
The delicate blurring and soft gradation created by handwork are the greatest charm of Chusen dyeing.
