Yotsume Dyeing Cloth | Name Stamp Included, Kawari Ichimatsu, Naito Color

Price 6,171円 (tax included)

It is a name tag made using traditional technique "katazome" dyed cloth.

Since all are handmade by artisans, even the same cloth will have individual characteristics point by point.
The pattern's circles may be shaky, the dyeing method may vary,
and this "unevenness" brings out expressions and warmth that cannot be created digitally.

*Because the way the cloth comes out changes depending on the cutting point, the position of the cloth cannot be selected. Please understand this in advance.

The charm of name tags

Speaking of name tags, the mainstream is usually simple designs without a background.
However, this name tag is impressive at first glance.
The moment you are told, "It’s a wonderful name tag," you will surely be captivated.

Easy to use

Since there are pockets on the left and right when opened, you can separate your own and the other person's name tags, or carry two types of name tags freely.

Not only as a name tag, but it is also useful as a card holder to organize point cards.

Putting thoughts into each one

Making name tags is done by "Yotsume dyeing cloth workshop."
In this dye workshop, using Japanese traditional techniques "katazome" and "tsutsumikaki," patterns are applied to the cloth, and products such as name tags are produced using that as the base material.

<Katazome>
It starts by making stencil paper with an original design.
Place the stencil paper on the cloth and apply a paste made of rice flour and glue.
The part where the paste is applied does not get dyed, becoming the white part of the pattern.

<Tsutsumikaki>
Paste is applied by freehand as if wrapping a raw cream.
The parts where the paste is applied remain white, similar to katazome, but the big feature of tsutsumikaki is that it can express a free style that cannot be done by hand drawing.

Whichever technique is used, the subsequent process is the same.
Once the paste dries, dye is applied with a brush.
If it is a single color, it finishes in one go, but when applying multiple colors, each color is layered one by one as if painting a picture.

Finally, the paste is washed off with water, and the pattern finally floats up clearly, completing the drying.

In this way, after a long process, one cloth is completed, and the shape is changed for the name tag.

Cloth that can only be found here

All cloth of "Yotsume dyeing cloth workshop" is original.
Therefore, this design can only be obtained here.

The Ichimatsu pattern is not a rare item, but the "expression it brings out" is something special only to Yotsume dyeing cloth workshop.

Ichimatsu pattern is a traditional Japanese pattern loved as a good pattern for "descendants' prosperity" and "business expansion," so it might be difficult to incorporate into modern brightness.

However, the Ichimatsu pattern of this name tag is loved somewhere for its "roughness," and it has a unique expression with a youthful feel.
While retaining a classical atmosphere, it is a design easy to use daily.
