Jyagaimo Bag | Galaxy Group
A cute round-shaped bag called "koron" like a potato. Because it has a round bottom, it can hold plenty of items and is practical and easy to put things in and take them out.
The fabric used for the bag is makumo's original raw fabric. The silk weaving is, of course, handcrafted from the fabric design to dyeing, and the unique patterns and color schemes can only be found here.
The large and small stars scattered on the undyed fabric resemble the real galaxy. It is a simple yet memorable design.
Gentle for the user
The Jyagaimo bag is a larger size with a mouth width of 40cm and a height of 30cm. Since it uses sturdy canvas raw fabric (silk), you can safely put in your belongings without worry.
The opening has a fastener, which is a nice point to securely protect the contents inside.
The shoulder strap is wrapped in quilted silk for a comfortable feel.
Since the length is adjustable, you can use it as a tote bag or a shoulder bag.

The inside of the bag is a fresh watery color.
Every time you put items in or take them out, your heart will suddenly flutter — such a playful spirit is hidden inside the bag.
It also comes with an inner pocket, so you can neatly store small items.
Starting from the fabric design
The base is pure white canvas raw fabric.
Makumo's bags start from the fabric design.
The designer, Fukuyama-san, graduated from the dyeing department of the modeling school and after experiencing stencil cutting and other techniques, established makumo. The patterns and color schemes born from her hands are pop yet somehow nostalgic retro atmospheres, fresh, and individualistic.
Because it is handmade, the expression is unique
It is Mr. Niiki who shapes Fukuyama-san's design.
The technique used is called "Hand-painting (tenassen) / Silk screen." For each color, a stencil is made, and the dye is brushed onto the raw fabric with a large tool called a squeegee, layering carefully one color at a time.
Thus, the dyed fabric has a different expression even with the same design, creating a depth and warmth that cannot be reproduced digitally.
After going through several processes, the fabric completed is shaped into the Jyagaimo bag by silk weaving craftsmen's hands.

With hand-painting, you may see "color unevenness" or "bleeding." Especially for umbrellas, due to the nature of the material, color bleeding is more likely to occur. If you enjoy the handmade feel, that is a happy point.
