A Neatly Wrapped Spring Scarf

A design featuring a gentle pink blend, inspired by the cherry blossoms that bloom along the old Yodogawa River and Sakurano Shrine in Osaka, with small birds dancing there as a motif. This piece evokes the splendid beauty of spring in Kyoto and Osaka.

The soft pink gradation combined with the lovely silhouette of birds and cherry blossoms creates a sweet effect. Every time you look at it, you can feel the warmth of spring and a gentle mood.

Of course, it’s perfect for handkerchiefs, sweat towels, lunch mats, wrapping cloths, and also serves as an interior decoration.

It is also welcomed as a gift to celebrate graduations, school admissions, or the start of a new life, coloring the spring season. It conveys the seasonal atmosphere and heartfelt feelings through craftsmanship.

Hand-Dyed, 100% Silk with Heartfelt Quality

The raw silk fabric for Nijiyura scarves uses "Kōsararashi," a tightly woven fabric with minimal unevenness in the threads.

Carefully removing impurities by spending more time than usual, this traditional Japanese sun-drying process results in a smooth texture that feels pleasant on the skin.

The more you use it, the softer and more comfortable it becomes, making it a perfect companion for everyday relaxation.

Japan’s Unique Dyeing Technique: "Chūsen" (Immersion Dyeing)

Chūsen is a dyeing technique unique to Japan, born in Osaka during the Meiji era.

By immersing the cloth into dye baths repeatedly, it is possible to dye 20 to 30 layers of cloth at once.

The cloth is layered like a stack of paper, and dyed twice from both front and back without distinction, creating a beautiful finish. This is a major characteristic of this technique.

The process involves many steps, all done by skilled artisans. Therefore, no two pieces are exactly the same.

The delicate softness and gentle texture unique to handwork create the greatest charm of Chūsen dyeing.
