The Traditional Japanese Craft "Cotton Dyeing" Continuing from the Meiji Era

Kamawanu's Tebukuroi is made using the unique Japanese dyeing technique called "Chusen" (cotton dyeing), which has continued since the Meiji era. By preventing dye from penetrating certain areas and dyeing all at once, it can be used reversibly without showing patterns on the back, which is a characteristic feature.

Due to the handmade process, subtle “playfulness” appears in the colors and patterns, and the more you use it, the more the pattern changes. Each piece is unique and grows into a presence that looks like a pair of chopsticks that never become dull.

[Regarding Washing]

・When washing, hand wash thoroughly with water, gently stretch the fabric, avoid direct sunlight, and dry.
・Please avoid leaving it soaked for a long time.
・At first use, excess dye will come off during washing, but after 2 to 3 washes, it will settle.
・Due to the bleaching effect of detergent, rapid fading may occur.
・If using bleach or strong alkaline detergents, the fabric may be damaged.
・Using a bath will warm the Tebukuroi, but depending on the dye, there may be some discoloration and fading.

[Precautions]

・Occasionally, unique stains may appear on Tebukuroi. Since these stains are caused by the dye, please wash several times and use it while gradually reducing them. Please use with confidence.
