This bucket tote is a collaboration between the Rikka Textile Research Institute in Kōjima and Oshidō and the miscellaneous goods brand "salvia," which adds a casual touch.
Using the fabric from the last remaining first-grade cotton canvas factory in Oshidō, “Oshidō Cotton Canvas,” it is made into a large, rounded form.
Especially the gray color is somewhat special, utilizing iron powder from the Oshidō ironworks and hand-printing the dye developed exclusively by the Rikka Textile Research Institute.
Among the subdued colors, there is a deep richness, and the embroidery specialist workshop in Niigata and Gosen adds a “hand-embroidered-like” refreshing stitch that warmly enhances it.
A long one-handle design, naturally carried either on the shoulder or by hand, with a 2-way style.
The handle part is firmly made with width, designed to prevent tightness when hung on the shoulder and to distribute the weight well.
