Hand tie-dyeing, tie-dyeing | Kakitsubata and wild grass × pale flower color | Silk (Specially produced in Okayama) | Kyoto Tomodan
The traditional technique "Hand-rolled Dyeing" creates beautiful colors
Hand-rolled dyeing (tenassen) is a method where a shape is created for each color, and the colors are brushed on with a brush to gradually dye the fabric one color at a time.
With each viewing, the warmth of the craftsmanship is conveyed, adding a refined Japanese accent to the subtle shading.
