Traditional Patterns and Artisan Techniques Combined in a Beautiful and Practical Horizontal Tote Bag

The "Pattern of Happiness" series is an original design created by a textile designer who focused on the "meaning of wishing for happiness" found in traditional Japanese patterns.
One of the patterns, the blue ocean wave, symbolizes "eternal prosperity" and "family fortune," inspired by the waves that continue forever.
We designed the good motifs of weaving with a modern touch, dyed in a contemporary lifestyle.
✔ Artisan Techniques: Each piece dyed carefully by hand at a Kyoto dyeing workshop
✔ Modern Traditional Patterns: Enjoy choosing from 3 types of patterns × 2 colors
✔ High Durability: Made with thick, flat-woven No. 8 canvas fabric that is both sturdy and long-lasting
✔ Also Perfect as a Quality Gift: The "Pattern of Happiness" conveys special thoughts
Adding Elegance to Everyday Life with Traditional Beauty

The size of the horizontal tote bag is approximately 24cm height × 35cm width (bottom width 24cm). It feels slightly larger than A4 size.

The depth is 15cm and width 7cm, allowing you to comfortably store wallets, pouch bags, pet bottles, folding umbrellas, and more.
It is large enough to fit a lunch box and a water bottle, making it highly recommended as a lunch bag.

Inside, there is a convenient mini pocket for storing small items like keys and cards.

The opening features a metal button, making the contents less visible and preventing items from flying out easily.

Whether for shopping, strolling, daily outings, commuting to work or school, traveling, or leisure, this tote bag is a versatile item that fits a variety of scenes.
It adds a touch of Japanese elegance to your everyday outings.
The Charm of Hand Dyeing That Stands Out as Artisan Skill

The tote bag features an original textile design by Fuwa Market.
It is made from domestically produced canvas fabric called "Fujikinbai" (富士金梅), a traditional canvas fabric, dyed one by one carefully using a precious shuttle loom.

This high-quality canvas fabric is dyed by artisans one by one at a Kyoto dyeing workshop.
The traditional technique creates a deep color and unique harmony that is truly captivating.

Looking closely at the fabric, you can feel the richness of the hand-dyed colors.
Subtle gradations and nuances achieved by skilled handwork create a unique beauty.

Each piece is dyed and finished carefully, bringing out a warmth and depth that cannot be expressed by simple printing.

The hand-dyed canvas fabric is finished by artisans one point at a time. Each subtle difference in expression conveys a special feeling unique to you.
Please experience the charm and warmth created by the artisans’ handwork and unique harmony.
Wishes and Prayers Woven into the Blue Ocean Wave Pattern

The infinite waves symbolize abundance
Large waves that rise and fall, small calm waves. The blue ocean wave pattern is a layered design where large and small arcs overlap like scales.
It is a motif with great meaning for people living near the sea worldwide, and can be seen not only in Japan but also in Egypt, Persia, and other places.
It also appears in the Heian period's elegant monogatari (tales) and was popular among common people during the Edo period.
The rich blessings and infinite symbols of waves have become beloved good motifs, often given as gifts for weddings and housewarmings.

The color palette includes a gentle blue series,

and a warm brown series with two color variations.
The subtle color combinations retain individuality, making these designs perfect as colorful items for daily life. Since they are Japanese-style designs, they also match well with kimono and traditional clothing.
※ Because the fabric is cut from large bolts, there may be individual differences in pattern placement. Please understand this in advance.
