Traditional patterns and craftsmanship intertwined, a beautiful and practical pen case

The "Pattern of Happiness" series is an original design born from the traditional Japanese patterns focused on the meaning of "wishing for happiness," created together with a textile designer.

One of the patterns, Ichimatsu, is a traditional pattern that includes the meaning of "prosperity of descendants" and "continuation of business" derived from its regular and correct form.

We designed a modern style that dyes the good motif of the pattern into contemporary life.

Careful craftsmanship: Each piece is carefully handcrafted at a specialized Kyoto box workshop
Modern traditional pattern: Enjoy selecting from 6 pattern types × 2 colors
Practical and versatile: Active use as a pen case, glasses case, or small item holder
Also suitable as a high-quality gift: The "Pattern of Happiness" conveys special thoughts

A pen case that neatly stores and holds what you need

The pen case has a just-right size that can hold a variety of writing instruments such as fountain pens, ballpoint pens, and steel pens.

If it’s a ballpoint pen, about 5 pens can be securely stored, including rulers and erasers.

Not only as a pen case or pencil holder but also as a glasses case, accessory case, or a pouch for mobile phones and emergency kits, its versatility is attractive.

With a solid box construction protecting the inside, it can be used for a long time with care. It’s an item that will become your daily companion.

Beautiful design usable both inside and out

Careful attention is paid to beauty when opened, using Ichimatsu patterned hand-dyed Japanese paper at the inner bottom. The color coordination considered with the outer pattern gives a clean impression.

The bottom uses simple, untextured paper.

While drawing out the beauty of the paper, it creates a relaxed atmosphere when opened, allowing you to enjoy the different expressions between the outside and inside.

The smooth opening by delicate workmanship makes you feel comfortable every time you use it.

The charm of hand-dyed craftsmanship stands out

The hand-dyed Japanese paper used in this pen case is carefully handcrafted one by one by friendly craftsmen specializing in Kyoto’s box making workshops.

The charm lies in the deep colors and unique blends created by traditional techniques.

Looking closely at the paper, you can feel the depth of color unique to hand-dyeing.

Subtle gradations and blends created by handcrafting express a unique beauty like no other.

Each piece is carefully dyed and finished to create warmth and depth that cannot be expressed by simple printing alone.

The hand-dyed Japanese paper with brushed finishing is carefully handcrafted one by one by Kyoto’s box craftsmen. Each subtle difference in expression creates a unique feeling just for you.

Please experience the charm of this blend and warmth brought about by the craftsmen’s handiwork.

Wishes and prayers woven into the Ichimatsu pattern

Ichimatsu, the traditional beauty of the pattern

The regular squares with colored divisions, when tightly woven, appear to move gently.

The Ichimatsu pattern looks as if life has been breathed into it.

When the kabuki actor Ichimura Uzaemon appeared softly dressed in white and crimson Ichimatsu pattern costumes, especially women eagerly wore them.

It was so popular that the pattern called Ishidatami pattern was renamed Ichimatsu pattern.

Even today, it is beloved by many as the green and black feathered pattern of the main character Kō in the manga "Demon Slayer" transcends eras.

The colors are divided into a green series representing freshness and a red series with warmth.

The two colors are displayed with warmth and individuality, making them ideal items to brighten your desk.

※ Please note that there are individual differences in the placement of the paper due to cutting large sheets.
