The bath towel is an item collaborated on by the artist "Jonasan Rouse," who produces works such as silk screen prints centered in the southern London area, and the brand "Link Collective," which produces unique textile products.
At a Kyoto dye workshop with over 50 years of history, artisans hand-print each piece using the traditional Japanese dyeing technique called "Tenassen."
Unlike mass production by machines, the pieces are carefully printed layer by layer while matching colors, resulting in subtle color blends and rich expressions of the patterns.
The delicate gradations and softness of colors that machines cannot reproduce are unique to these fabrics and give a warm feeling.
