The dyeing technique "Chusen" passed down from the Meiji era artisans

Kamafune’s tenugui is made using the unique Japanese dyeing technique "Chusen" which has been passed down since the Meiji era. By placing a resist on the fabric and pouring dye all at once, it is characterized by being reversible and usable on both sides.

During the handcrafting process, subtle “playfulness” is born in the colors and patterns, and the texture changes the more you use it. Each piece develops into a unique existence with a one-of-a-kind expression that grows more charming with use.
