Traditional patterns and artisan techniques intertwined to create beautiful and practical Hagi cases

The "Pattern of Happiness" series is an original design born from the traditional patterns of Japan, which embody the meaning of "wishing for happiness," combined with a textile designer's vision.

One of the patterns, Nanten, is a plant that has been cherished since ancient times as a symbol of "warding off evil" and "removing misfortune."

We designed the pattern in a modern style, infusing the good luck motif with contemporary life aesthetics.

Meticulous artisan techniques: Each point is carefully handcrafted at a Kyoto box-making specialty workshop
Modern traditional patterns: Enjoy the fun of choosing from 6 types of patterns × 2 colors
Practical for group use: Perfect for accessories, toolboxes, and small item storage
Also suitable as a high-quality gift: The "Pattern of Happiness" conveys special sentiments

With a sturdy box construction that protects the interior, it can be used for a long time with love.

Besides stationery, it is also active as a multi-purpose case for accessories, cosmetics, sewing kits, and gadget cases.

Just by having one, you can experience the comfort of "being able to quickly take out what you need" and "organizing your desk and bag quickly."

It is like a partner that reduces the small stresses of busy daily life.

Design that is “beautifully usable” both inside and out

Not only is the beauty when opened carefully considered, but also the inside bottom uses hand-dyed Japanese paper with the Nanten pattern. The color scheme, balanced with the outer pattern, creates a refreshing impression.

The bottom uses simple, plain paper without patterns.

While drawing out the beauty of the pattern, it also creates a calm atmosphere, allowing you to enjoy different expressions between the exterior and interior.

With delicate craftsmanship, the smooth opening lets you feel the care every time you use it.

Artisan techniques that highlight the charm of hand-dyed paper

The hand-dyed Japanese paper used in this box case is carefully handcrafted by skilled artisans specializing in Japanese paper dyeing at a specialty workshop in Kyoto.

The deep colors and unique blends created by traditional techniques are truly captivating.

Looking closely at the pattern, you can feel the subtle layering of colors unique to hand-dyed paper.

Subtle variations in intensity and gradation bring out an unparalleled beauty.

Each edition is carefully dyed, creating depth and warmth that cannot be expressed by simple prints.

The hand-dyed Japanese paper used is carefully handcrafted point by point by Kyoto box artisans. Each subtle difference in expression displays a special feeling unique to you.

Please experience the charm of this unique blend and warmth brought to life by the artisan’s craftsmanship.

Wishes and prayers embedded in the Nanten pattern

Nanten for warding off evil

Nanten is a plant passed down from China during the Heian period, valued as a medicinal herb that suppresses misfortune.

From late autumn to early winter, it bears many bright red berries, and it has been cherished as a tree that "turns difficulties into blessings" by reading the meaning of "difficulties".

Also, it is said that placing it in the home altar prevents bad spirits from approaching, symbolizing warding off evil.

The Hyakkajiten encyclopedia from the Edo period states "Planting Nanten prevents fires," and many households planted it in unlucky directions to protect their homes.

The colors are展開 in a warm red series,

and a gentle blue series. Both have individuality and are ideal as desk coloring items.

※ There are individual differences in the placement of the sticks when making large paper crafts. Please understand this in advance.
