Traditional Patterns and Craftsmanship Woven Together, Beautiful and Practical Pen Cases

The "Pattern of Happiness" series is an original design born from the meaning of "wishing for happiness" held by traditional Japanese patterns, together with a textile designer.

One of the patterns is the plum blossom, loved by people since ancient times for its beauty, vitality, nobility, and fragrant aroma.

We designed a modern style that infuses the good motifs of the past into contemporary life.

Meticulous Craftsmanship: Each piece is carefully handcrafted at a Kyoto specialty box-making workshop.
Modern Traditional Patterns: Enjoy choosing from 6 patterns × 2 colors.
Highly Practical: Perfect for pen cases, eyeglass cases, and small item holders.
Also Ideal as a Quality Gift: The "Pattern of Happiness" conveys special thoughts.

Pen Cases That Neatly Store What You Need and What You Carry

Our pen cases have a comfortable size that can store a variety of writing instruments such as fountain pens, ballpoint pens, and mechanical pencils.

With about 5 slots for ballpoint pens, you can neatly organize even rulers and correction tape.

Not only for pen cases and writing instruments, but also for eyeglass cases, accessory cases, or mobile phone cases, it’s fascinating that it can be used in various ways.

With a sturdy box structure that protects the contents, it can be used for a long time with love. It’s an item that becomes a daily companion.

Beautiful Design Both Inside and Out

We carefully use plum blossom patterned hand-dyed Japanese paper on the inner bottom surface as well, creating a balanced color scheme with the exterior pattern that gives a refined impression.

The bottom uses simple plain paper without texture.

While drawing out the beauty of Japanese paper, it also creates an atmosphere of calmness, making a design that allows you to enjoy different expressions inside and outside.

The smooth opening by delicate craftsmanship lets you feel the thoughtfulness every time you use it.

Craftsmanship That Stands Out Through Hand Dyeing

The hand-dyed Japanese paper used in this pen case is carefully handcrafted one by one by skilled artisans specializing in Japanese paper dyeing at a workshop in Kyoto.

The deep colors and unique blends created by traditional techniques are enchanting.

Looking at the Japanese paper up close, you can feel the depth of the colors unique to hand dyeing.

Subtle gradations and nuances drawn by handcrafting produce a one-of-a-kind beauty.

Each piece is carefully dyed to be sturdy, creating a warmth and depth that cannot be expressed by simple printing.

The hand-dyed Japanese paper with printed patterns is carefully handcrafted one by one by Kyoto box artisans. Each subtle difference in expression creates a special feeling just for you.

Please experience the charm of this unique blend and warmth born from the artisans’ craftsmanship.

Wishes and Prayers Woven into the Plum Blossom Pattern

Plum Blossom for Health and Disaster Prevention

A lovely flower that blooms bravely against the cold wind and snow. Together with its faint sweet fragrance, it heralds the early arrival of spring.

The calm winter scene’s gentle red, pink, and white colors evoke a breath of life.

In Japan’s oldest collection of songs, the "Manyoshu," many poems feature the plum blossom as a theme, enchanting people since ancient times.

Speaking of plum blossoms as good luck charms, it’s the tea called "Daifuku-cha," made from plum pickles and kombu (kelp). Its origin traces back to the Heian period when Emperor Murakami drank it during illness and recovered.

It became customary to drink it while wishing for a year free of illness and disasters.

The colors are a warm red series,

a bright, pop yellow series with two colors on display. While maintaining a natural color harmony, the individuality makes it ideal as a desk accent.

※ Because large sheets are cut to make these, there may be individual differences in the placement of the Japanese paper. Please understand.
