At a Kyoto dyeing workshop, skilled artisans hand-dye the high-quality canvas fabric one piece at a time.

Ichimatsu, a pattern popularized by the kabuki actor Ichimura Uzaemon in white and red clothing, especially became a favorite among women.
It was so popular that it was even called the Ishizuka pattern before being renamed Ichimatsu, showing its widespread appeal.
