Traditional patterns and craftsmanship intertwined, a beautiful and practical vertical tote bag

The "Pattern of Happiness" series is an original design born from the Japanese traditional pattern's meaning of "wishing for happiness," combined with a textile designer's creativity.

One of the patterns, Ichimatsu, embodies wishes for "prosperity of descendants" and "continuity of business" through its perfectly regular design.

We designed it to dye a good motif of prosperity into a modern lifestyle.

Exquisite craftsmanship: Each piece dyed carefully at a Kyoto dyeing workshop
Modern traditional pattern: Enjoy choosing from 3 types of patterns × 2 color variations
High durability: Made from thick, tightly woven No. 8 canvas fabric, durable and long-lasting
Also a quality gift: The "Pattern of Happiness" conveys special wishes

Traditional beauty that adds elegance to your daily life

The size of the vertical tote bag is approximately 34cm high × 35cm wide (bottom width 26cm).

It is large enough to comfortably fit A4-sized notebooks or files.

The handle measures 11cm in width, and wallets, pouches, pet bottles, umbrellas, and more can be neatly stored inside.

Since it can hold many items, it is also recommended as a bag for shrine visits or libraries.

Inside, there is a convenient mini pocket for storing small items like your commuter pass or keys.

The opening has a metal button, making the contents less visible and preventing items from flying out.

Whether shopping, taking a stroll, daily outings, commuting, school, travel, or leisure, this tote bag is a versatile companion.

It adds a touch of Japanese elegance to your everyday outings.

The charm of hand dyeing stands out in craftsmanship

The tote bag features an original textile design by Fuwa Market.

Using domestically produced canvas fabric from the premium brand "Fujikinbai," each piece is hand-dyed one by one with a precious traditional weaving machine.

At a Kyoto dyeing workshop, skilled artisans hand-dye the high-quality canvas fabric one piece at a time.

The charm lies in the deep colors and unique blends created by traditional techniques.

Looking closely at the fabric, you can feel the weight of the subtle color gradations unique to hand dyeing.

The delicate gradations and nuanced blends created by handwork express a one-of-a-kind beauty.

Each piece is dyed and finished carefully, creating warmth and depth that cannot be expressed by simple prints.

The hand-dyed canvas fabric is crafted by artisans who dye each piece one by one. The subtle differences in each piece express a special feeling unique to you.

Please experience the charm of this blend of craftsmanship and warmth brought to life by the artisans' handiwork.

Wishes and prayers woven into the Ichimatsu pattern

Elegant Ichimatsu, traditional beauty

If you tightly weave the precise rectangular shapes of the pattern, it appears as if it is gently moving.

The Ichimatsu pattern looks as if life has been breathed into it.

Ichimatsu, a pattern popularized by the kabuki actor Ichimura Uzaemon in white and red clothing, especially became a favorite among women.

It was so popular that it was even called the Ishizuka pattern before being renamed Ichimatsu, showing its widespread appeal.

Even today, it is loved by many as the design of the protagonist’s green and black checkered costume in the manga "Demon Slayer." It transcends eras and remains timeless.

The colors are a green series reminiscent of fresh leaves,

and a warm red series.

A color that fits well when dropped, with personality, and is also ideal as an item that colors everyday life. Since it has a Japanese modern design, it also matches well with Japanese-style clothing such as bathrobes and kimonos.

※ There are individual differences in the placement of the pattern because it is made by cutting a large piece of fabric. Please understand this.
